When dealing with problem animals, we usually look to Wildlife Removal as the last choice or used in conjunction with another resolution. We suggest completing Habitat Modification or Exclusion first. If neither of these are executed, in time the problem will reoccur. In certain situations, Habitat Modification and Exclusion will not completely solve the problem or they are not practical. If this is the case, Animal Removal is the best option. Many other wildlife companies fully rely on Exclusion which is not the proper remedy either. These animals have usually been removed from a property or structure, let go in very close vicinity to where the problem occurred. These animals have been taught to move from house to house for example without consequence. At these times we recommend removal of the animal. We do not relocate animals unless given specific guidelines from the MNRF. Relocating wildlife does not save animals, it takes animals from a location where they know how to exist to a completely different area with new predators, threats and competitors usually ending in an inhumane death. Wildlife Removal is most commonly done through trapping. Other methods include deterrents, population control and physically removing the animal while the technician is at the location.
